By accessing and using the SCA (Structured Clinical Assessment) Prep Platform (“Service”), you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms of Use (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our Service.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and SCA Prep (“Company”, “we”, “us”, or “our”).

2. Description of Service

Our Service provides an AI-powered medical education platform that generates:

• Structured Clinical Assessment scenarios
• Patient notes and medical case studies
• Doctor consultation examples
• Assessment marking schemes
• Interactive chat-based medical education content

3. Eligibility and Registration

3.1 Age Requirement

You must be at least 16 years old to use our Service. If you are under 18, you represent that you have parental or guardian consent.

3.2 Professional Use

Our Service is intended for:

• Medical students and trainees
• Healthcare professionals
• Medical educators and instructors
• Academic institutions offering medical education

3.3 Account Registration

You agree to:

• Provide accurate and current information
• Maintain the security of your account credentials
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use
• Be responsible for all activities under your account

4. Acceptable Use Policy

4.1 Permitted Uses

You may use our Service for:

• Educational and training purposes
• Preparing for medical examinations
• Developing clinical assessment skills
• Academic research (with proper attribution)

4.2 Prohibited Uses

You agree NOT to:

• Use generated content for actual patient care or clinical decisions
• Distribute content as authoritative medical guidance
• Attempt to reverse engineer or extract our AI models
• Share your account credentials with others
• Use the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers
• Upload malicious code or conduct security testing without permission
• Violate any applicable laws or regulations

5. Subscription and Payment Terms

5.1 Free Tier

Not available at present.

5.2 Paid Subscriptions

• Subscription fees are billed in advance on a monthly or quarterly basis
• Fees are non-refundable except as required by law
• We may change subscription prices with 30 days' notice
• You may cancel your subscription at any time

5.3 Credit Packs

• Credit packs are one-time, consumable purchases used for AI Actor consultations
• Credits do not expire and are usable across all platforms (web and iOS)
• Credit purchases are non-refundable once consumed
• Credits have no monetary value and cannot be exchanged or transferred

5.4 Payment Processing

On the web, payments are processed through Stripe. On iOS, payments are processed through Apple In-App Purchase. By providing payment information, you authorize us to charge the applicable fees to your chosen payment method.

5.5 Apple In-App Purchases (iOS)

• Subscriptions purchased via the iOS app are managed by Apple and subject to Apple's terms and conditions
• Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
• You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID account settings
• Refunds for Apple purchases are handled by Apple in accordance with their refund policy
• Prices for iOS purchases may differ from web prices due to platform fees

6. Intellectual Property Rights

6.1 Our Intellectual Property

The Service, including but not limited to:

• Software, algorithms, and AI models
• Website design and user interface
• Trademarks, logos, and branding
• Documentation and educational materials

are owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws.

6.2 User-Generated Content

You retain ownership of content you input into our Service. However, you grant us a license to:

• Process your inputs to provide the Service
• Use aggregated, anonymized data to improve our Service
• Store your content as necessary to provide the Service

6.3 AI-Generated Content

Content generated by our AI system is provided “as-is” for educational purposes. You may use generated content for permitted educational activities but may not claim authorship or present it as authoritative medical guidance.

• Uninterrupted access to the Service
• Error-free operation
• Compatibility with all devices or browsers
• Permanent storage of user content

7.3 AI Content Accuracy

AI-generated content may contain errors, inaccuracies, or inconsistencies. Users must verify information independently and not rely solely on generated content for any educational or professional decisions.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by UK law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:

• Loss of profits or revenue
• Loss of data or content
• Educational or professional setbacks
• Reliance on AI-generated content

Our total liability to you for any claims arising from these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Note: These limitations do not affect your statutory rights as a consumer under UK law.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, losses, or damages arising from:

• Your use of the Service
• Violation of these Terms
• Infringement of third-party rights
• Misuse of AI-generated content
